If an Indian sailor is stranded on a ship at any one of the ports in Dubai or Northern Emirates, or on a ship, the crewing company or shipping company of which is registered in D&NE the matter is taken up with the concerned company and with the local authorities to ascertain the details of the case and the reasons for detention of the sailor. In cases where there are no litigations, the Consulate intercedes to try and resolve the issue. It also helps sailors to recover their salary dues from their employers.
