Pilot Centre to open at Deira on February 19
All centres to open on February 22
Indian Embassy and Consulate General of India in association with Empost will open 12 dedicated centres to receive applications for passports and visas following an agreement with the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi, and the Consulate General of India, Dubai.
The first such office will be opened in Deira on 19 February by the Consul General of India in Dubai, H.E. Mr. Venu Rajamony and Mr. Sultan A. Al Midfa, Chief Executive Officer of Empost and will start receiving applications from public from Friday, 20th February. This Centre will remain open from 7 AM to 10 PM on all 7days of the week. The inauguration ceremony will also be attended by Mr. Abdullah Al Daboos, Vice Chairman, President of Emirates Post Holding Group & Chairman of Empost.
The rest of the 12 centres proposed under the agreement between Empost and the Indian diplomatic missions in the UAE, will open their doors for the public from 22 February. All these Centres will be open from 7 AM to 10 PM on all days of the week.
A website (www.ipavsc.com) is set up to provide information on the various services offered and for checking the status of applications and a dedicated Call Centre ( 600 522229) to answer telephone queries and inform applicants of the status of their applications.
