Sheikha Lubna Al-Qasimi, CEO of DP world Mohammed Sharaf and the Consul Generals of the US, Germany and Singapore in Dubai, joined the Indian community in marking the event.

Speaking on the occasion, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna deplored the ghastly act and said that the United Arab Emirates and its people are with India at this moment. She said that she was deeply saddened and horrified at this unjust terrorist act in Mumbai, which killed many innocent people. Terrorism is a borderless crime that does not belong to any race and religion

CEO of DP world Mohammed Sharaf,  recollected how he and two of his colleagues had been trapped in the Taj Mahal Hotel on November 26th and the Indian security forces rescued them from hotel.  On the issue of terrorism, he quoted HH Sheikh Zayed, founder President of the UAE, who had emphasized that neither religion nor international law, nor any conventions on the Rights of Man could provide any justification whatsoever for the practice of terrorism. Mr. Sharaf also assured that this terrible incident had not dented DP World's commitment to India.

Indian Consul General Mr. Venu Rajamony  said  the intention of the perpetrators was to wedge a divide in Indian society and people, but they will not succeed in their endeavour.    India will rise like phoenix from the ashes of the Taj Mahal Hotel, stronger and more prosperous. The Head Girl and Head Boy of the Indian High School led the gathering in adopting a pledge to oppose with full strength all forms of terrorism and violence.
