
Indian CG asks the community to support Noor Dubai

DUBAI: Indian Consul General in Dubai Venu Rajamony has called upon the Indian community to come forward and participate in the Noor Dubai campaign launched by Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to help over one million people see the world.
"Indian community was in the forefront in making contributions and donations when the Dubai Cares initiative was announced a year ago. I am sure they would do the same again with regards to Noor Dubai," he said.
Rajamony made the call while signing the Golden Book as part of the Risalat Hob (Love Note) project, launched by Rashid Paediatric Society and Deyaa Media Productions as special note from various people to be sent to Sheikh Mohammed commending him on the wonderful work he has done for special needs children in the UAE.
He commended the initiative and said that he was pleased to participate in this initiative which is an ode to Sheikh Mohammed "an extraordinary individual who has shown so much dynamism, so much initiative and also compassion for the common man, for the people who are underprevileged, who are deprived in any way, special needs children need to be mentioned and highlighted in particular in this regard."
"The Indian community has also been active in supporting special needs children in this society. I would urge all members to support it and strenghthen the hands of Sheikh Mohammed in every way possible," he added.
