Amnesty 2007 Update

In connection with the Amnesty declared by the Government of UAE, the Consulate General of India would like to publicize the following information:
- As of August 1st, 2007, the Consulate has received more than 34500 applications for Emergency Certificates (ECs). It has printed over 26500 ECs and delivered 21000 ECs.
- Out of the 40000 passports of Indian nationals received from the immigration authorities around 16800 passports have been distributed to the public.
