Amnesty 2007 Update

In connection with the Amnesty declared by the Government of UAE, the Consulate General of India would like to publicize the following information:

• As of July 30th, 2007, the Consulate has received more than 33000 applications for Emergency Certificates (ECs). It has printed over 23150 ECs and delivered 16600 ECs.
• Out of the 40000 passports of Indian nationals received from the immigration authorities around 16000 passports have been distributed to the public.
